Delta to Deepen Its Deployment in India by Building New R&D Center and Facilities
February 17, 2016

Delta Electronics at Elecrama 2016 in India announced that it plans to build its biggest local plant in Hosur, together with an R&D center focusing on technologies such as mega-watt power conversion and power quality in Bangalore, reported the Commercial Times on February 16. The new plant is slated to launch operation in early 2017, expecting to manufacture telecom power systems, industrial automation solutions, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), renewable energy inverters and converters, and solutions for display and monitoring. The R&D center will hire around 500 high-tech personnel in the following three years, while the new plant will create approximately 20,000 jobs in the next ten years. With the rapid development of 3G and 4G networks in India, the country is in need of reliable power supplies, thereby triggering local sales of Delta's telecom power systems and renewable energy products.
